Boost Bookkeeping was born in Oct 2006 when I decided to leave my job as Finance and Administration Manager of a large SA Manufacturing company and start up my own business as a Freelance Contract Bookkeeper.
running my own small business:
Bookkeeping has always been a large part of my working life. Whether running my own small business, my husband and I owned a Small Country Hotel and then a Spring Water Franchise in the 80's-90's, or as an employee in several Administration and Finance Management Roles.
study to corporate life:
As a mature age student I returned to TAFE and finished my Certificate in Accounting which lead to me securing a position as Administration Manager of a small Accounting firm in Adelaide. Within 2 years, several mergers and promotions later, I found myself in the position of Administration Manager of a large Accounting Firm, reporting to 9 Directors. It was in this environment, working with many qualified accountants, that I really improved my bookkeeping skills.

the next step:
I am happy to say that BOOST Bookkeeping is now in an expansion phase. I have been able to secure the services of several great bookkeepers to assist me with the workload. Currently I am in the process of implementing a system that ensures the consistency and accuracy of our Bookkeeping processes, regardless of which BOOST Bookkeeping bookkeeper performs the work.
